Pergola on the roof: the Mediterranean rooftop

Incipio Events has concocted a gigantic pergola-slash-food court on the roof of a former BBC car park in Shepherd's Bush. This cool spot is a food court with Mediterranean airs, perched 50 meters from the ground, under a canopy covered in ivy, bougainvillea, and wysteria.

The program? Music, food, cocktails, petanque...the perfect combo!

The restaurants? Four fab Londonien addresses (Rabbit, Salt Yard, Patty & Bun and Le Coq) will be there, with special menus, cafeteria-style, so that everyone can get their favorite eats and meet back at a table. Roast chicken, crazy-good burgers, tapas and other surprises (£6- 13), all washed down by bubbles, artisanal beers or cocktails from the central bar or one of the stands.

We love: the divan loungers for 10 people, a great place to gather with friends.

A tip? The place can hold 400 people, so we advise you to plan ahead and reserve your table or divan in advance on the site, for lunch, dinner, or just a drink.

How to get there? The entry is on Wood Lane (the roof is on the building with the black fence), about 50 meters from Gate 6 of Television Centre, look for the lighted sign.

Open Wednesday to Friday 6pm- 11pm, Saturday 12pm- 11pm, Sunday 12pm- 9.30pm, until 2 October.
