Nobu Hotel Shoreditch: East Meets West at the Hotel and Restaurant

After conquering world hot spots like Los Cabos and Miami Beach, the Nobu Hotel hits East London with a zen new address. Opened this summer on Willow Street, Nobu Hotel Shoreditch is the hippest address for staying and dining in one of London’s coolest ‘hoods.

Designed with the urban feel of the local area in mind, the steel beams contrast with the landscaped garden of the hotel. To keep a relationship with the surrounding neighbourhood, the pocket garden is open to the public to offer an oasis in the middle of the bustling city streets.

The 143 rooms are contemporary and modern in design, a perfect calming escape from the city outside. Think minimalist design with sleek dark concrete and uber-soft bedding, contrasting with a stark white bathroom featuring a custom gold sink and rain shower. (Prices from £250/night)

You obviously wouldn't stay here without dining in the famous restaurant, nicknamed “The World’s Sexiest Restaurant,” whose inimitable menu combines flavours from Japan, South America and Peru. Signature Nobu dishes such as the Black Cod Miso and Yellowfin Sashimi with Jalapeno fill the delicious menu and the 4 level terrace offers amazing views of the city.

Looking for a cool new brunch spot? Check out the new brunch menu, Sundays 11am- 3pm. The brunch starts with edamame along with parmesan truffle rice toban, and then a visit to the brunch bar to sample some classic Nobu dishes such as the Tenderloin Tataki and Japanese Beef Stew. This is followed by three rounds of sharing dishes, created exclusively for Nobu Shoreditch (Gyoza with Butter Ponzu & Eel Sauce, Grouper Tempura with Amazu Ponzu, and Grilled skirt steak with honey truffle teriyaki). Then taste the hand-carved roasted pork belly with ponzu and finally the dessert options--green tea rolled roulade, anyone? (Prices start at £45 per person, food only, more with drinks)
