Primrose Bakery : London best cupcakes

Donuts are trying to steal the cake as of late, but we think cupcakes are here to stay. Primrose Bakery, founded in 2004, is one of London’s original cupcakeries and still one of its favourite. Its original location in Primrose Hill is pretty and charming, and perfect for a cake and a cuppa.

Inside the cafe, there are a few vintage tables for taste-testing, nestled under girly pink neon signs and cute bunting. This is a great place for a special treat, or to end the afternoon on a sugar high while catching up with your bestie.

Daily cupcake flavours include carrot, chocolate, chocolate with vanilla, red velvet, salted caramel, vanilla and gluten free vanilla, alongside a few special flavors each day (Sundays are banoffee, Toblerone, and Earl Grey!) Mouth watering yet? The cakes are made fresh each day with organic ingredients- we like our treats healthy, don’t you?

We love: Cupcake Classes! A great way to spend an afternoon baking with friends, colleagues, or for a hen night. (From £55/ person, classes at the Covent Garden shop, see website for details.)

Open Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 6pm, Sunday 9.30am to 6pm
